Slide Rock State Park
Swimming, picnicking, birdwatching, fishing, nature trails,
volleyball, and excellent apples are just a few of the things
that this historical, 43 acre Arizona State park offers.
Slide Rock State Park was originally a homestead called the
Pendley Homestead. If you plan to visit, be aware that there
are fees which can be checked here.
Pets ARE allowed in the park but it must be leashed at all
times and cleaned up after. Pets however are not allowed in
buildings or in the museum or in the swimming area.
Pendley Homestead offers some short trails which are about
a quarter mile in length each. Summer visits to the park are
a great idea as the elevation is near 5,000 feet and there are
great place for swimming in the hot summer months.
